Italgres in Spain: Discovering the Latest Trends in the Porcelain Tile Industry

Last week, the Italgres Miami team traveled to Castellón, Spain, the heart of the Spanish porcelain tile industry, to immerse ourselves in the latest innovations in the sector. Our goal was clear: to discover the new European porcelain tile collections, analyze colors, formats, textures, and finishes that will set the trends for 2025 and 2026, and carefully select the pieces that will soon arrive at our showroom in Miami.

Castellón: The Capital of Porcelain

Castellón is the region where the most renowned porcelain tile factories in Spain are concentrated. Visiting this area allows us to see the collections in person, feel the materials, and evaluate the quality of each piece. This direct contact is key to ensuring that what we offer our clients represents the very best of European ceramics: innovation, design, and durability.

For several days, we toured our suppliers’ showrooms, exploring everything from large-format porcelain slabs for large-scale architectural projects to decorative mosaics that bring detail and personality to bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas.

What’s Coming in Design and Trends

This trip was an opportunity to stay ahead of what will define interior and exterior design:

Large-format porcelain tiles that visually expand spaces and reduce grout lines.

Matte and glossy finishes that allow for striking light contrasts.

Anti-slip outdoor pieces, perfect for terraces, pools, and patios.

On-trend color palettes: warm neutrals, terracotta tones, and deep greens that evoke nature.

3D and textured wall tiles that add depth and dynamism.

These visits allow us to anticipate our clients’ needs and carefully select the collections that will make the greatest impact on design projects in Florida.

Next Stop: Cersaie 2025 in Italy

Our European journey doesn’t end in Spain. This week we’ll be heading to Cersaie, the international ceramics and design fair held in Bologna, Italy. There, we’ll discover the latest luxury tile collections, the newest Italian formats, and the technological innovations that will shape the future of the industry.

Attending Cersaie 2025 allows us to stay ahead of the curve and bring to our Miami showroom an exclusive selection of Italian and Spanish tiles that represent the cutting edge of European design.
