TRENDS CEVISAMA 2020

Valencia, Spain

One more year we have travelled to Valencia to attend Cevisama 2020, the biggest ceramic fair in Spain. There we have discovered how the ceramic industry is growing by leaps and bounds, shaping this material into the most beautiful and original designs. Spain is at the forefront of innovation when it comes to ceramics and that is why we want to present you with the latest trends we discovered there.

One of the most interesting ceramic trends we could observe at Cevisama was the use of small pieces with a clearly aesthetic objective. The use of these tiles for both wall and floor coverings generates very eye-catching spaces with a marked retro personality. Following this trend we can find the Pop Tile collection, a tile with a 15×15 rectified format, which presents designs full of colour and a unique style, which takes us back to the sixties, a period full of iconic elements.

Another trend that we want to highlight is that it is taking more and more risks in terms of formats, and proof of this are the collections that include hexagonal pieces. These ceramic pieces allow the design of original environments with a lot of personality. We would also like to highlight the tiles with texture or 3D effect that have become one of the hosts of Cevisama 2020. The use of this type of tiles is a real success, thanks to the play that occurs when combining reliefs and textures, unique rooms are created. These trends can be seen in the Boom, Round or Bohemian collections. Also noteworthy is the presence of vitreous finishes such as the Glass collection, which allows for the creation of spaces with personality.

Finally, nowadays designers and architects, value more the materials that present natural finishes, this fact is reflected in the fact that the wood effect finishes that continue to grow. The wood effect of these ceramic pieces transmit beauty and great resistance, as well as bringing an elegant and discreet style to any room.
