TRENDS CEVISAMA 2019

Valencia, Spain

In our article on the trends discovered at the last Cevisama fair, special mention should be made of the XXL formats and an evolution towards personalisation that already makes it possible to find ceramics in ceramic plates on doors, worktops and other furniture elements in which until just a few years ago it was completely unthinkable. The Moma Antracita collection from Grespania, 1200×3600 millimetres and only 5.6 millimetres thick, is an example found in XXL pieces.

Any idea can be carried out, and experiment with formats, in the past were the square tiles as the only option to cover floors and walls, triangular shapes, hexagonal, rhomboid or scale are just a few possibilities, which enrich with decorative details spaces, creating a custom style in the home. The Jazz and Becolors collections are an example of the new forms .

In Cevisama we observe a redefinition of the concept of luxury that bets for the combination of different types of wood and that takes the idea of the covering as a synonym of decoration to the maximum expression. The taste for neutral tones and worn by time recreate sober interiors. This is one of the reasons why ceramic woods do not go out of fashion and are experiencing a renaissance with innovative proposals such as the Rioja series by Grespania, or the Woodlands collection by Cevica recommended for creating environments with a lot of character and personality.

To conclude, we would like to point out that this year, dark colours are once again being used to cover rooms in floors and walls. The tiles in these shades help to create cosy atmospheres and preserve warmth. One way to compensate for the sobriety these shades bring to the room is to combine the tiles in lighter shades, which will help balance the light in the room and create a sophisticated ambience. These characteristics can be seen in the combination of, for example, the Crete and Aral collections by Todagres.
