In our article on the trends discovered at the last Cersaie fair, special mention should be made of terrazzo, last year we already saw a preview of terrazzo, but this 2019 is already a reality, becoming a finish that does not go unnoticed by architects and interior designers. Terrazzo has become a very current proposal for projects that want to give a certain retro air. This trend can be found in the latest collections of Ergon or Apavisa for example.

One of the design characteristics of Ergon’s Medley collection is the graphic image that is projected onto the pieces, creating geometric patterns that evoke the compositional principle of terraces, in order to construct a solution with greater creative intention. The Medley collection is made up of four models: Minimal, Classic, Rock and Pop, which are distinguished by the size and shape of the splinters. The models available from the Medley collection allow the creation of contemporary and timeless spaces.

Apavisa’s Wind collection, on the other hand, allows spaces to be designed in their own style. With a design from the post-industrial era, the Wind series presents a high aesthetic value, in which its motto is to reuse materials to reinvent and create its own style. The Wind series is available in five formats.

Stone effect surfaces

Another of the most interesting trends observed during Cersaie, is the use of tiles with stone finish for floors and coatings, in a dynamic in continuous challenge and experimentation, in which to create a strong and personal project that gives life to new residential forms, the collection Ego of Provence, is an example that follows this trend presented in Cersaie, highlighting on its surface the mixture of granite and limestone for which it is composed.
