Trends Cersaie 2019
Bolonia, Italia
Last week the Cersaie fair was held in Bologna, the largest showcase for the ceramic and bathroom sector. We went there to meet professionals from different fields and show you the latest trends presented at the most important trade fair in the ceramic floor and wall tile sector in Italy.
XXL Marble Tile
One of the most popular trends this year is the reproduction of marbles, with graphics full of nuances, textures and veins that amplify the expressive potential of the surfaces, as they have tiles in extra-large formats. This material is the perfect inspiration to create scenographic environments, which present a great visual impact.
These new designs offer enormous beauty and potential to spaces that will surely be appreciated by interior designers, decorators and architects, without renouncing the high performance offered by ceramics. Examples that follow these trends can be found in the Oro and Cosmopolitan collections belonging to Faenza and Mirage respectively.
The Cosmopolitan collection seeks to reproduce the depth of its surfaces through the details and randomness of the veinage, being a collection where each piece is a work of art. While Faenza’s Oro collection is the result of the union of dark and light colours in which emotions play a fundamental role.
Textile Effect
The world of coatings never ceases to amaze us, in this edition we have discovered graphics with textile textures and prints that combine history and modernity. Being definitely the absolute protagonists of this Cersaie 2019.
This trend is accompanied by the obsession with large formats, which is consolidated as a firm proposal in design spaces thanks to its high technical quality and impeccable finish, allowing continuity without interrupting the design of the fabric. Among the designs presented in Bologna, the floral, damask and geometric patterns stand out, conserving the essence of hand-made fabrics, as can be seen in Rex’s I Filati collection, the new collection conceived by Florim in collaboration with Rubelli.
Rex’s I Filati evokes the artisan aspect of the secular art of silk that are presented as innovative fabrics, seductive to the eye and pleasant to the touch, able to preserve intact the essence and value of artisan fabrics.
