Milan Design Week
Milán, Italy
During the Milan design week, Hermès presented her new collection for home in the Museo della Permanente, which includes an eclectic line of objects, furniture, fabrics and wallpapers.
The 2018-2019 series for the home is presented within an architectural project conceived by Charlotte Macaux Perelman, artistic co-director of Hermès Maison together with Alexis Fabry. The color, materials and craftsmanship are expressed in seven architectural structures completely covered with Moroccan zellige, a type of ornamental mosaic based on pieces of colored tiles, called tesserae.
These seven monolithic and monochromatic structures of different sizes create a mini-village of extraordinary dimensions with large doors and openings that create stage effects of lighting inside, immersing the visitor in an authentic bathroom of color where through the different structures and discovering in each of them parts of the collection.
