ITALGRES in Europe: Visiting Our Tile Partners in Italy and Spain

At ITALGRES, we believe that offering the best materials starts with staying close to the people who create them. That is why our direct relationship with porcelain tile manufacturers in Italy and Spain is such an important part of the way we work.

Every year, our team travels to Europe to visit our partners, tour their factories and showrooms, and discover their latest developments, giving us a firsthand look at where the industry is heading.

This September, we returned to Spain and Italy, combining visits to some of our suppliers with our attendance at Cersaie 2026 in Bologna. This journey allows us to maintain a constant connection between European porcelain tile innovation and the projects we develop in Florida.

A direct relationship with our partners in Italy and Spain

ITALGRES has been working with manufacturers of Italian and Spanish porcelain tiles for years, and for us, that relationship goes far beyond selecting products from a catalog.

Visiting our suppliers in person allows us to discover each material at its source, speak directly with their teams, learn how their production processes are evolving, and explore new collections before adding them to our selection.

During our visits to Spain and Italy, we tour showrooms, discover new surfaces, compare finishes, analyze formats, and learn about the technologies that are transforming porcelain tile.

This direct relationship with our suppliers allows us to bring a curated selection of Italian and Spanish porcelain tiles to Florida, with firsthand knowledge of the origin, technology, and development behind the collections we later present to our clients.

Seeing, touching, and understanding the material

In an industry where texture and finish are becoming increasingly important, a photograph or catalog can never fully communicate what a surface really looks and feels like.

The true color, the movement of a vein, the depth of a relief, or the differences between finishes are details that are much easier to understand when you experience the material in person.

That is why traveling directly to our European porcelain tile manufacturers is also an essential part of our selection process.

We are not simply looking to add new collections. We look for materials that offer something different and make sense for the projects we develop in Miami, Orlando, and throughout Florida.

Cersaie 2026: the meeting point in Bologna

Our journey through Europe concluded in Bologna at Cersaie 2026, one of the leading international meeting points for the ceramic and porcelain tile industry.

For ITALGRES, Cersaie is an opportunity to meet with our partners, discover new launches, and understand where the industry is heading.

And this year, that direction was particularly clear.

Porcelain tile is becoming warmer, more tactile, and more architectural. Ivory, beige, sand, and light brown are gaining ground over cooler whites and grays, while surfaces inspired by stone, terrazzo, and travertine are becoming increasingly prominent.

We also saw a significant evolution in textures and finishes, with softer surfaces, brushed effects, reliefs, and new technologies capable of coordinating the graphic design with the physical texture of each tile.

These are just some of the trends we discovered during our time in Europe, and we will be exploring them in greater detail soon.

From Cersaie 2025 to 2026: being there to understand what comes next

Visiting Europe every year also allows us to see the evolution of the industry from a broader perspective.

At Cersaie 2025, we already saw major developments in surface realism and the quality of finishes. In 2026, that evolution continues, but the shift toward warmer colors, new textures, and materials with greater personality is even more evident.

And that is precisely one of the reasons why returning every year is so important to us.

We do not want to discover a trend once it is already established in the market. We want to see it evolve, speak directly with the people developing these materials, and understand what may come next.

Selecting in Europe for our projects in Florida

Everything we see during these visits ultimately has one goal: to select the right materials for our clients and projects.

Not everything we see in Europe necessarily makes sense for Florida. Our experience in the market allows us to evaluate which colors, formats, finishes, and surfaces can work particularly well for our projects, from high-end residential spaces to hospitality and commercial interiors.

From large format porcelain tiles to stone-look, travertine-look, terrazzo, and new decorative surfaces, we look for collections that combine design, quality, and technical performance.

And that selection begins right here: seeing the products firsthand in Italy and Spain and working directly with the manufacturers behind them.

From Europe to Florida

Our journey through Spain and Italy may be over, but the work continues.

We return to Florida with new ideas, materials, and collections that we will be sharing over the coming months, while continuing to strengthen something that has been part of ITALGRES for years: our direct connection with the European manufacturers we work with.

This relationship allows us to offer a selection of Italian and Spanish porcelain tiles that we know from their source and stay up to date with the latest technologies, finishes, and trends shaping the industry.

From our tile showrooms in Miami and Orlando, we bring that experience to every project, offering a selection of porcelain tiles in Miami and Orlando for architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and homeowners looking for the latest in European porcelain tile.
